M.J. Storey Landscape Construction Inc. was established in the Spring of 2002 by Michael J. Storey. Michael started the company soon after the completion of his college education, borrowing $100 dollars. Michael invested in a rake and a shovel, acquired his first job, paid back the loan with the earnings and continued to grow ever since.
Today M. J. Storey Landscape Construction Inc. has grown into a professional, high quality landscape provider servicing the greater Portland area. Our team is comprised of experienced, hard working people that have a vested interest in the quality of our work and value the importance of paying close attention to detail. Our goal is to provide the best service to our clients and to care for their investments by doing a thorough job without cutting any corners.

Michael was born and raised in Cumberland and graduated from Greely High School in 1997. After high school Michael attended New England College, in Henniker, NH, studying Environmental Science. Michael worked throughout high school and college gaining experience in landscaping and excavation. After graduation Michael moved back to Maine, the area in which he loved. In 2002, Michael established the company and has been running the business since. Michael follows a vision of a small local company that brings top quality products to help the needs of people in the community. Michael, being a hands-on owner, oversees the jobs from the original estimate until the last vehicle leaves the job site. Michael is on-site for the majority of the jobs working alongside his employees. Michael enjoys building relationships with his customers based on trust, values and quality work. With his experience Michael's experience can help guide a customer with their vision or needs from planning to installation. |
Colton Tlumac: Operations Manager |

Colton manages the customer contact and care, operations and product procurement of M.J. Storey Landscape Construction Inc. Colton originates from Wiscasset, Maine. Attending New England College in Henniker, N.H. Colton graduated from New England College in Henniker, NH with degrees in Environmental and Biological Studies in 2003. He has a wide array of experience in different fields and blends his previous knowledge with our company’s ideals. He possesses the ability to guide customers with products and resources of our industry. Colton joined M.J. Storey in 2010. looks forward to helping the company with his hard work and values for years to come. |
Zach Neuts: Maintenance/Small project foreman |

Zach is in charge of all maintenance and small projects for M.J. Storey. Zach comes from New Gloucester, Maine and graduated from Gray New Gloucester High School. Zach studied horticulture at the vocational school while attending high school. Zach has been a part of M.J. Storey since 2007. He carries the values in which the company lives by. Zach’s close attention to detail, experience and work ethic bring quality to even the very smallest project. |
Adam Salve: Preparation Foreman |

Adam is the preparation foreman and is an extremely capable individual. A Cape Elizabeth native, Adam has over seven years of experience in the landscaping and excavation fields. After graduating from Cape Elizabeth High School he went on to further his education at Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. Adam joined our team in 2011 and has quickly become a true field leader. Adam is also a Lieutenant in the Cape Elizabeth Fire Department. |
Dylan Ouellette: Installation Foreman |

Dylan is the installation foreman at M. J. Storey Landscape Construction Inc. With over seven years of diverse landscaping experience, Dylan is proficient at all aspects of landscaping and hardscaping. Dylan excels in brick and paver work as well as stone masonry. As well as landscaping/hardscaping experience Dylan was part of the U. S. Air Force as an aircraft maintainer working on B2 stealth bombers. He is currently working on his Horticulture degree from Southern Maine Community College. |
